" To tie a knot seems to be a simple thing, and yet there  are
right ways and wrong ways of doing it, and scouts ought to
know the right way."
Baden-Powell, Scouting for Boys, 1915

Three Tests of a Good Knot:

It should be easy to tie

It should stay tied

It should be easy to untie

In Scouting you will need to learn knots for your
advancements through the ranks. You shouldn't only learn
these knots for advancements but keep the knowledge you
have learned for later on in life. Its better to know a knot and
not need it, than need a knot and not know it.
