In 2018, we no longer had access to the trophy topper that we had been using for our Scout of the Year trophies, known as The Ideal Scout. Starting that year, old trophies were sourced from eBay, refurbished, and presented to our scouts. It seemed inappropriate to simply remove an old trophy plate without acknowledging the previous owner. This effort has evolved into thorough research on these individuals and, if possible, reaching out to their descendants to inform them that their ancestor's trophy has found a new home. Moreover, this gesture serves to remember these individuals once again for their commitment to scouting.  Not all years have a story.
